THE PLEDGE
MY DIRECT DEMOCRACY PLEDGE
I pledge to represent the majority interests of my constituents, as defined herein.
On my government website, I will inform my constituents of all legislation, or other measures available for my voting decisions. I will provide a summary of the pros and cons for each one online, and in frequent town halls, in-person and zoom meetings, as well as on several social media platforms. In addition, I will assign one of my staff members and community volunteer organizations to contact their fellow constituents to inform them that they will have a voice in all of my voting decisions using constituent polling.
Constituents, who are at least 18 years of age and current legal residents of my voting district, may register with my office to vote in polling for legislation under my consideration as their representative. A current voter registration card or state issued ID must be submitted in person, or via the internet, to be verified by my office to participate in polling.
Constituents may go online, call my office, or visit my office to vote in polling. Polling participants may vote one time in each poll, for or against any legislation available for my voting decisions. Their registered voter ID number, or state ID number registered with my office will be displayed when voting, along with the time they cast their vote on my website, which will allow them to verify their vote was accurately recorded.
If my polling constituents vote over fifty percent for or against a bill, or other decision, I will vote according to their majority polling decisions, or present a written and audio/visual explanation for voting against their majority opinion on my website. However, if sixty percent or more of my polling constituents want me to vote for or against legislation, or another matter, I will vote or act according to their wishes. Polling results will be updated daily and displayed and archived online before I cast my vote. This provides my constituents with a clear and transparent record of both their and my voting record throughout my term in office.
